As a child, I always had the incentive to draw and always liked those challenges. I used to draw what I saw, what I remembered, what I imagined.  At that time, I used to look at everything, discovering the variety of textures, transparency, proportions of things in comparison of my little hand and my little foot, which was what I had for reference, because they are always in my field of vision.
Everything I saw I compared to what was closest to the object observed: my hands or feet. Someone, at some point, taught me to compare everything to the proportions of a person, for example: a door is the measure of a person with the arm raised, a meter is the measure of a wide step, the bicycle seat always had to be hip-length to reach the floor and pedaling right, the face of an adult is the size of the open hand in front of the face, chin to forehead, you know? And I enjoyed doing these proportional observation exercises. It was fun, playful, and at the same time the ability to calculate measures and proportions was being developed. I was curious about what it would be like to draw things according to the human proportions that were my reference. And I drew. I drew a lot. I looked and tested.
With the colors, I remember someone having taught me to observe nature and its colors. And that it was possible to use the basic colors, such as those of the rainbow, those of elements such as fire, earth, water and air, green plants, the colors of vegetables, fruits and flowers, all using the colors we see in nature to draw and color everything I saw or imagined.
And so it has been until these days, always drawing, learning, getting better and happier :)
Here are some of my commercial and non-commercial illustrations. I apply several techniques of 2D production, both with traditional and digital methods, that vary according to the briefing or destination.
